Farm retailers who are leading the way in the UK are vying for prestigious national recognition as finalists in the Farm Retail Awards 2026, sponsored by Fieldfare.
Thriving farm shops, farm cafés, restaurants, butcheries, farmers markets and pick-your-own businesses based across the home nations are among those selected as the best in their industry by the Farm Retail Association (FRA).
Following a three-stage judging process including visits from fellow farm retailers, the finalists will find out if they have been named as winners at a glittering awards ceremony on Wednesday 11th March at Cedar Court Hotel in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
Eight award categories celebrating the buoyant farm retail scene across the UK include the Rising Star Award to champion business development and industry newcomers; the Farm Shop Butchery of the Year Award; Large Farm Shop of the Year (turnover over £1.5m); Small Farm Shop of the Year (turnover under £1.5m); and Associate Member of the Year.
Emma Mosey, Chair of the Farm Retail Association said: “Each of our finalists represents the very best of British farm retail, from outstanding farm shops and skilled butchers to welcoming cafés and the dedicated businesses that support them. Together, they showcase the innovation, passion and community connection that define our sector.
“As we continue to champion local food through our More Than Food campaign, these finalists remind us why farm retail matters: it’s about people, provenance and pride in doing things the right way.”
The FRA’s national ‘More Than Food’ campaign highlights the role of farmers markets, farm shops and pick-your-own enterprises in providing both a platform for exceptional produce, and essential community hubs offering authenticity, trust and connection.
The Farm Retail Awards are proudly sponsored by Fieldfare – suppliers of award-winning frozen food sold loose, so you can buy as much as you want but not more than you need. The awards ceremony takes place alongside the FRA’s annual Conference, which will be held nearby at The Pavilions of Harrogate at the Great Yorkshire Showground.
