About Us
ABOUT US…

Quince Honey Farm is a family run working honey farm based in South Molton, Devon.  First established in 1949 and now in its third generation of beekeepers.

A LITTLE HISTORY…

Now one of Britain’s leading honey farms Quince Honey Farm is family run and first established in 1949 by George Wallace with 2 hives of bees, an inexorable work ethic and a wild dream. A fiery Scotsman, George served in the paratroop regiment during WW2 and after the war served in Palestine until 1949. Near the end of his service George read a book about beekeeping and became obsessed with the craft. He was one of only a few men in the entire British Army to be demobbed into beekeeping. He gained practical beekeeping experience at Yorkshire apiaries where he was told he worked too hard. George moved South to North Devon to live with his father in Quince Cottage. George had two hives of bees and ambitiously called his operation Quince Honey Farm.

OUR PRODUCTS…

Our Devon honey really is liquid gold, a mild but tasty flavour and perfect to go with everything! It has also won Supreme Champion in the Sweet Preserves Category at the Taste of the West Awards so we really are very proud of our honey.

Our Exmoor Heather honey is also a great hit! This pure heather honey is orange and thick in texture and collected from the purple moors by our bees in August. This honey can never be clear, always orange yet spreadable. Winning Taste of the West Gold in 2022, another honey we adore!

Let your customers enjoy delicious Devon Comb Honey straight from the hive! Spread on bread, toast, scones, crumpets or for that ultimate honey lover they can eat it straight from the spoon!

We also produce preserves and fudge that include our award winning honey making us the perfect choice for your farm shop.
