Rumwell Farm Shop & Café, which is on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington, is a multi-award-winning independent, family-run business owned and run by the Mitchell family.

David and Anne Mitchell began selling their potatoes and free-range eggs at the gate more than 25 years ago when the site was a potato store.

The Shop has a traditional Butchery counter selling its home-reared and free-range pork and Rumwell Angus beef.

Also onsite is an excellent children’s play area, a modern, purpose-built Rumwell Orchard event space, a Delicatessen, Bakery, Jam Kitchen, Food Hall, Wine Cellar, Gluten Free (GF) Kitchen, Food To Go service and Gift Room.

Its production kitchens create hundreds of tasty items for the team’s famous Made at Rumwell range, many of the items are award-winning. They are famous for their onsite-made amazing baked goods including their extra-special Doughnuts of the Month, as well as nearly 100 GF products and so many delicious Deli items such as preserves, pies, quiches and Scotch eggs.

The food prepared in the Café kitchen is sourced from the Farm Shop, the Mitchell family farm and other regional suppliers. The Café kitchen has Coeliac UK’s GF accreditation.
