About Us
Founded by third-generation farmers Rebecca & Simon Wilson in 2013, Jolly Nice is an award-winning Farm Shop & Kitchen open from 8am to 7pm every day. We’re based on the site of a former filling station between Stroud and Cirencester in Gloucestershire. The business is renowned for homemade ice cream, the Jolly Nice Burger and an ever-changing range of brilliant local produce.
Our driving values are to support and sell local, sustainable and outstanding quality food and drink. We champion artisan producers and local farmers; our meat is always free range and we specialise in grass-fed, native rare breeds.
At Jolly Nice, customers can visit our Farmshop, Butchery, Cafe and Florist, all nestled under the canopy that once covered petrol pumps. Our Service Kitchen produces our menu offer onsite with seating in two locally made yurts and a small meadow. Our ice cream, cakes and other core Jolly Nice products are made at our Production Kitchen on our farm a few miles away.
We’ve won lots of awards including Best Independent Retailer at the Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards (2016) as well as Best Rural Start Up (2017) and Best Rural Food Business (2019) at the Rural Business Awards. In 2020, we plan to improve and expand the business with a new purpose-built Farmshop.
