Opened in 2008, Battlefield 1403 is a farm shop, butchery, café and visitor centre located next to the site of the Battle of Shrewsbury.

Our mission is to provide a pleasant visitor destination where everyone feels welcome. Our shop sells our own home cooked range of ready meals, desserts, cakes and confectionary.

If it’s not ours we make sure it’s local where we can.

Based on the Albrighton Estate we farm beef and lamb to supply the butchery.

The estate also provides the shop with honey and its woodland provides logs and kindling to sell from our wood shed.

As well as the cafe on site we also have a cafe in the centre of Shrewsbury that offers town residents and visitors a sample of what we provide at Battlefield.

Annual events at Battlefield include Family fun day (June), Battle of Shrewsbury re enactment weekend (July) Harvest & Heritage (August) and a Spring and Autumn ‘Pudding Club’.
