Premiere and live Q&A to be hosted via zoom – all welcome
Join us for the live premiere of a behind the scenes tour of PYO of the Year 2021, Cammas Hall Farm. Many of you joined us for the behind the scenes tours of The Farm, Stratford and Darts Farm Shop at our virtual conference earlier this year. The tours were so well received, we’ve decided to go behind the scenes at our PYO of the Year 2021, Cammas Hall Farm, Essex.
About Cammas Hall Farm
The Lukies family have been farming in the beautiful Essex countryside around Cammas Hall for over 130 years and the PYO was started in 1966 with blackcurrants. In 2004 they invested in ‘tabletops’, and in 2007 and 2013 respectively, a small seasonal farm shop and Tea Barn (café) were added.
With 80 staff at their peak, the farm has become the biggest tourist attraction in the local area. Cammas Hall have stuck to their ethics of ‘providing good quality local produce at a reasonable price’ throughout their journey, which resonates with customers and enables them to support other small local producers.
Growth has averaged 25% a year for eight years with Halloween being a major contributor yielding approximately 50,000 visitors in October.
