About us

CHD Property was founded in London in 1994 and quickly became one of the early market leaders in the then new Factory Outlet and Garden Centre markets. The company has built on those early days, broadening into the Destination Retail and Leisure sector, now with additional focus on Specialist Food and Farm Shops, Rapid Electric Vehicle Charging, Renewable Energy and Rural Business Diversification throughout the UK

The Company’s roots are in Land Agency, Leisure/Retail and Institutional investment markets. It was involved from the outset in setting up and pre-letting Outlet Centres and Retail Villages in Garden Centres. The company continued to evolve with at times fast changing consumer demands and expectations, covering asset management, the sale of development sites and the investment acquisition of established Outlet Centres as core parts of its portfolio

The Company was established with a set of key principles, focused on developing close long term working relationships based on trust and success:

  • Unqualified commitment to the highest standards of service and efficiency for clients
  • A professional, creative and always pro active approach
  • A service based on research, innovation and original thinking
  • A personal service, with a human and courteous approach

The business has a strong research culture, identifying new trends and customer expectations, ensuring all its schemes offer an innovative mix of uses, with market leading end users

Changing Consumer expectations accelerated through the pandemic, with rapidly increasing focus on environmental issues, buying locally, authenticity, value and high service standards. Open retail destinations offer experiential and safe family shopping environments, with easy access, free car parking and now with Rapid Electric Vehicle Charging

Farm Shops offer all of these features and are proving the ideal location for Rapid Electric Vehicle Charging, driving additional footfall and offering additional revenue streams without the landlord investment.
