About us

Hockey`s Farm Shop is set in ten acres of land within the New Forest National Park and adjacent to the National Trust`s Ibsley Common.

We have our own herd of rare breed British Lop pigs and an assortment of other animals and birds which our customers are welcome to wander around and see.

Farm shop

Our family have lived and worked in the New Forest for more than 60 years. When we bought the farm and shop in 2013 we set out to create a much needed village store and farm shop which showcased the best of local and further afield. Our own pork has the New Forest Marque and Hampshire Fare award. We stock more than 35 other local producers, from fruit & veg, to chutneys, cakes, cheeses, wines, beers …the list goes on and is ever expanding. Our butcher prepares all the meat we sell; he makes his own sausages and burgers, all without additives & preservatives. We buy beef from our family friend, Andrew, whose family has farmed just a few miles away for two generations. His land is certified, beautifully kept and supports the herd with its winter feed too. Our lamb is sourced from Gorse Farm, just along the road from us here in the Forest. Matt, the shepherd, really knows how to produce good lamb. We are committed to the best in customer service and to be able to offer our customers and visitors a chance to relax and enjoy the farm as much as we do.

Our cafe, refurbished in 2015, offers a carefully selected menu which reflects all that we sell and produce. It`s the perfect place to stop and relax awhile.
