About us
We are a producer owned co-operative who run the Certified Farmers Markets in Portishead and Clevedon.
We pride ourselves on being certified and our belief is to have only quality products in the market which are produced only by the producers from their own holdings. The exceptions are Country Markets Ltd who must source 25% of their baked goods from a local producer and our bread producer who sources all of his flour from our local mill who in turn buys only local grain. We have resisted having producers into the market who buy and re-sell as do other markets in the area and all of our producers come from within a 30 mile radius so we are truly local. We would rather have 10 local stalls of quality produce than 25 stalls travelling many miles and selling produce with which we cannot prove the provenance.
The markets officially open at 9 am and finish at 12.30 pm but because of the quality of our produce we frequently have customers waiting for us to arrive.
Portishead is the smaller of the two markets and is always on the second Saturday of the month throughout the year it is held outside Waitrose in their Piazza. There is organic meat bread and cakes plants flowers and plants chesse organic egg sapple juice and honey.
The Clevedon market is held on the fourth Saturday of each month in Queens Square outside Morrisons. All of the stalls which are at Portishead are at Clevedon as well but there is also venison, trout, strawberries in season and conventional beef. The December market is the 3rd Saturday of the month and the organic stall also has large organic chickens for this occasion. The market is run by the producers and every producer has a single share in the co-operative company.

About us
Farrington’s is based at Home Farm, in Farrington Gurney between Bath and Bristol. The farmhouse is home to Andy & Tish Jeffery and family of four who moved there in 1989. Andy took over the farming in 1992 from his dad who had held the tenancy since the 1960’s.
The Farm is surrounded by 400 acres of lush Somerset countryside. We grow organic vegetables for sale in the Farm Shop and kitchens and wheat, maize and grass to feed the animals.
Staying true to our roots, we always believed that a real farm shop should focus on selling the best seasonal produce and making home-made goodies from whatever we could grow on the farm. At Farrington’s our ethos is about just that.
When the doors of our first shop were opened in 1991 it sold a few potatoes, carrots, cakes and a few jars. Today, it is a award winning farm shop and cafe stocking a fabulous selection of home-made and home-grown produce.
In 2011 Farrington’s were named Countryside Alliance British Champions of Local Food, and in 2012 we were delighted to be awarded FARMA UK Farm Retailer of the Year, for the second time.

About us
Farming Family
Newton Farm Foods is a family farming business neatly nestled away on the Duchy of Cornwall Estate in the picturesque village of Newton St Loe, just 10 minutes from the city of Bath. This little jewel in the crown incorporates a working farm, award-winning farm shop, traditional butchery, spacious licensed cafe with outside seating and children’s play area. As a farming family, we work on trust, and support local farmers and small independent producers who share our ethos.
Farm Shop & Butchery
Our shop is a wonderful emporium for food and drink lovers. Specialising in high-end, locally produced food, wines, spirits beers and ciders. We thrive on seeking out distinctive local artists, crafters and market gardeners to adorn our shelves with beautiful gifts, homewares, greeting cards, fresh flowers and plants.
Our butchery is traditional in style; we have a superb fresh meat counter, staffed by a small team of professional, highly skilled butchers, offering culinary advice and personal service. We not only sell our own produced lamb and award-winning pork and grass-fed beef, but also locally source free-range poultry, and a fine range of convenient, freshly prepared, ready-to-cook meat dishes. We have gained an enviable reputation for breeding, producing and supplying the highest quality, fairest priced British meats and poultry, all of which comes with impeccable, fully traceable credentials.
Cafe
We have a very spacious, beautifully appointed light and airy cafe which has gained an impressive following, not only for the stunning rural setting, but also for serving arguably the best coffee and affordable, high quality, freshly made seasonal food in the area.
