About us
The May Family have been farming at Netherexe since 1975, and up the road at Raddon since 1919.
The farm is five miles north of Exeter, running a 4 mile stretch of river bank against the river Exe, lush green meadows produce plenty of summer grazing where the family have a herd of Devon cattle, home bred Dorset sheep.
They grow wheat, barley & oats for the beef youngstock, fodder beet and green crop for the sheep.
About us
WELCOME TO STRAWBERRY FIELDS
With a new name that takes us back to our roots “Strawberry Fields” is a family run award winning farm shop and restaurant. Thriving in producing and baking our own produce our newly extended state of the art farm shop includes a butchery selling our own home-produced meat, an artisan bakery 7 days a week and a well-stocked deli. We also have a wide selection of ales, wines, confectionery, dairy goods and now an even larger gift section – Strawberry Fields has it all!
About us
From the humble beginnings of the farm shop hut nearly 40 years ago Darts Farm has continually evolved. Our farm shop is still at the centre of our success, with the emphasis on food that is locally grown reared, baked or caught. We have an on-site master butcher, fishmonger, deli, florist, cyder maker and restaurant.
We also have a fantastic lifestyle shopping experience to offer. A compilation of carefully handpicked specialist retailers, such as AGA, Fired Earth and Cotswold Outdoor as well independent boutiques such as Orange Tree, Energy Hair Salon and The Treatment Loft all under one roof.
We are still a working farm, selling all of our home-grown produce directly through the farm shop. We have animals to visit, pick-your-own fruit and vegetables, fishing ponds, bird hide, the Maize maze and a farm walk that will take you around the beautiful vegetable fields.
We are now also offering bike hire at Darts Farm. Cyclists can discover the stunning Exe Estuary cycle trail, world famous for its birds and beautiful scenery, on a traditional hand-built Pashley bicycle.
We hope that you enjoy visiting us, as much as we have enjoyed creating and running Darts Farm.

About us
Shillingford Organics is located at The Barton, Shillingford Abbot, a small village just three miles west of Exeter. Set in a sheltered valley between Alphington and the Haldon hills, the farm’s 350 acres of rich Devon red soil is perfect for growing arable and horticultural crops and has been fully organic since 2002.
Martyn Bragg is the second generation of the family to farm here and has a family of his own and wants them to grow up understanding where their food comes from, knowing that it is produced without the use of artificial chemicals or fertilisers.
Forty acres, including eight polytunnels, are dedicated to growing organic vegetables. We have apple and fruit trees in 2 small orchards as well as Agroforestry schemes with alleys of trees in 2 fields.
Everyone who works on the farm is passionate about wildlife, nature and ecology. To have a great range of bio-diversity is really important for organic growing and for producing good, healthy crops.
Our veg box scheme and Online Farm Shop allows us to create a direct relationship between us as growers and you as customers and encompasses more than just the aspect of trade. For you it means locally produced, great value and good, fresh produce that’s full of flavour. It also allows you some sense of connection with the source of your food, and the knowledge that you are not underwriting a wasteful and destructive system of transportation.
For us the veg box scheme provides a predictable income and allows us to grow, sell and deliver produce direct and in a way that does not compromise organic principles. It gives us a huge sense of satisfaction knowing that the crops we have produced are delivered and consumed within 10 miles of the farm.
We welcome customers and their families onto the farm throughout the year to find out more about how and where their food is produced.
