About us
Franklins of Thorncote are a free range poultry & free range meat producers and game dealers.
Our Grass-fed Cattle (Our beef is hung for at least 21 days to ensure tenderness and flavour), Gloucester Old Spot X Large White Pigs and Greensand Ridge Lambs graze on the meadows surrounding the farm, they are slow grown and 100% traceable.
Based in Thorncote Green, Bedfordshire we have an on-site butchers shop retailing to consumers in Beds, Herts, Cambs, Bucks and Northants both in the Farm Shop and at local Farmers’ Markets.
Our butchers shop is a proper Farm Shop where the meat and poultry we sell is produced on the farm. We also sell locally sourced bread and milk as well as pickles, honey, Gluten Free produce inc our home-made sausages and burgers, cheese, apple juice, condiments and jams.

Welcome to Browns of Stagsden
Situated in the middle of Stagsden, by the church, we sell award winning sausages, bacon & beef from home reared pigs & cattle plus home reared turkey and local lamb, all highly acclaimed by our customers.
With a long history of producing quality Farm Fresh Turkeys for Christmas we opened our first farm shop in 2005 and are pleased to offer a full range of quality fresh meats and meat products all year round. We also stock a wide range of local produce, including fresh vegetables.
Following the extension & refurbishment of our premises in June 2009 we also offer home reared ham and a wide variety of cheeses from our deli counter.
In 2015 we opened our Tea room, where you can come and enjoy a relaxing cup of tea or a light meal.
